Antisynthetase (AS) syndrome is a clinically heterogeneous form of idiopathic inflammatory myopathy characterized by myositis, arthralgia, Raynaud phenomenon, mechanic hands, interstitial lung disease (ILD, see this term), and serum autoantibodies to aminoacyl transfer RNA synthetases (anti-ARS).
